The Experimentalist Podcast Session 018 by Brandon Mitchell

OBS laments over feelings of prejudice towards strangers, alligators, and giant flies after wading through waters in the Florida swamp. He plays a tune or two evoking memories. Memories that sometimes change or fade as time passes. Sometimes the memories are not even our own, just one's we wished we'd had. So it is said, so it shall be written. What does that have to do with things? It's experimental so . . . it's cool.

OBS drops rhymes again. That's deep in the cut. Plenty of things happen before that. There's music that loops and scoops up poops. This is part 2 of the lost episode 016. It's about as lost as the rest of the episodes so far. If you can dig, you can discover them all. If you can dug, you might want to play 'Dig Dug' huh?

When were things invented? Who was the one who said that? These are all questions. The Mayans may have predicted the end of the world, and history is doomed to repeat itself right? Luckily we have all the time in the world to examine these things and more. That's basically what we're doing here.

Ever have one of those conversations with a good friend that left you feeling confused, sad and alone? What did you do? Did you let it drift off and become a thick artery clogged with fossilized emotion that may never be unearthed? If you recognize that as an unfortunate spin in your own true life story, then Ogle B Straight plays a tune for you. And him, because he's lost in the night with only a faulty recollection of an auditory event from months or maybe years ago.

"How about we start with some spaced out Sci-Fi ambient melodies, then mention three of Richmond, VA's finest breweries, then go deep to talk about the late 90's-early 00's all white prep-college boy rap group 'The Crackajacks', then introduce a world premiere of a track off the upcoming album "The Experiementalist 2"?"

"That sounds like a pretty good idea, dude."

"Thanks. Here it is. 'The Experimentalist Podcast Session 013'." Enjoy.

Preview 'The Experimentalist 2' by Brandon Mitchell

Hey! This is coming straight from Ogle B Straight. I'm excited to say that I am finishing up production on my upcoming album "The Experimentalist 2". It has been a long process of editing and mixing and learning since the original music was recorded. There's still going to be about one and a half weeks until the final master versions of each track are complete, and I'm working on some album art as well. In the meantime, I thought I'd release some preview versions of the sessions on my new Soundcloud page. These are not the absolute final mixes but they are pretty damn close. I hope you will enjoy them. Stay tuned for 'EX2' late Summer!
